Back at Home

(Mr. and Mrs.Lee are still 1. back at home. They are talking about the idea of speaking only English.)
MR. LEE: I am not sure that speaking only English is a 2. good idea.
MRS. LEE: Why not?
MR. LEE: Well, I'm worried 3. that Michael will forget 4. Korean.
MRS. LEE: That is impossible.
MR. LEE: No, its not?
MRS. LEE: Of course it is. Even if we speak English to Michael, he will watch 5. Korean television, listen to Korean songs, and go to Korean school. How can he forget?
MR. LEE: You*re right. I don't have to 6. worry. But, why are we speaking English to each other?
MRS. LEE: Because if we don*t speak English, then Michael won’t, either.
MR. LEE: But my English is not very good.
MRS. LEE: Yes, it is. And it will get better if you speak it more.
MR. LEE: That is true. And, even though 7. it will be difficult, I will do it for my son.
MRS. LEE: Thank you. I knew you would understand.
MR , LEE: That is what parents are for. It is our job to help him.
MRS, LEE: Yes.
(Mrs. Lee looks at the clock.)
MRS. LEE: What time do you have to go to work?
MR. LEE: By nine o'clock. Why?
MRS. LEE: Well, it's already eight-fifteen.
MR. LEE: Oh! I should go.
MRS. LEE: Good-bye. See you tonight.
MFt LEE: Good-bye. Ill be home by seven.
